India vs England: After playing abroad, Yashasvi Jaiswal is enjoying his debut Test match in India. In his first match against the West Indies, he earned 171 points. In South Africa, he had inconsistent results. Jaiswal is happy to be representing his nation and is adjusting well to the new surroundings.

After four matches played abroad, Yashasvi Jaiswal is excited to play his maiden Test in comfortable surroundings at home. In his debut match against the West Indies, the 22-year-old left-handed opener scored 171 runs. In the Caribbean islands, he then added scores of 57 and 38. He didn’t have much luck in the two Test series in South Africa; in Centurion, he scored 17 and 5, and in Cape Town, he scored 0 and 28.

“As this is my first Test in India, I was considering how I might help and support my team. It was very different when I was playing in South Africa and the West Indies. This place is in a different atmosphere. Being able to play for my nation makes me proud, therefore I love every place,” he remarked.
On the opening day of the Test, the southpaw appeared in fine form, spearheading India’s attack with an undefeated 76. Although he was only able to add four more runs to his total from the previous day on Friday, his innings set the standard for India, who scored around four runs per over for the whole of the second day.

“We attempted to play constructive cricket. Playing some good strokes was something I was also attempting to achieve, he remarked as India concluded the day at 421/7. “My process and thoughts are what got me here, but it would have been fantastic if I had received a hundred. I had a really optimistic mindset and was eager to continue increasing my innings.

“I was ready to face him (Root) and I knew he was going to bowl at some point,” Jaiswal said, elucidating his ejection from Joe Root. But like I said, I was making an effort. I aim to ensure that I learn from my mistakes even though I can make mistakes occasionally and move on.

A wicket exhibiting symptoms of wear and tear could prove to be vulnerable given a 175-run lead. Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja both appear well-groomed. “Our goal is to maintain our lead. The more runs we can add, the better. The wicket is helping spinners a much,” Jaiswal continued.
