In the case of moral policing, Karnataka police on Thursday detained Six men barge into a hotel room in Haveri and beaten an interfaith couple inside. After the attack was captured on camera and became viral, the police decided to take tough measures against the attackers.

The men were shown entering the hotel room in a widely shared video, where they discovered a Muslim woman with a Hindu male. They questioned the couple’s morality while beating them and dragging them from the room. The couple was seen begging them to let go and pleading for assistance.

The woman’s family reportedly filed a complaint with the Hanagal police station. In response to the complaint, Mohammed Isaaq Mandakki (23), Samaiullah Lalanavar (23), and Afatb Maqbool Ahmed Chandankatti (24), were taken into custody by Hanagal police.

Former chief minister of Karnataka Basavaraj Bommai questioned CM Siddaramaiah’s silence about the moral policing case, which is extremely condemnable. Additionally, he cited accounts claiming that a group of guys later sexually assaulted the woman.

“It is highly condemnable that some miscreants attacked a couple in a hotel in Hangal of Haveri district in the name of moral policing,” said Bommai. All those engaged in moral policing must be apprehended by the police and punished for their actions. She had allegedly taken the youngster to the isolated location and sexually abused her after mistreating her. This instance of the miscreants’ moral policing has left people wondering if the state government existed.

Then he questioned CM Siddaramaiah on his position on this matter. “Why is Chief Minister Siddaramaiah silent on this specific incident, despite his frequent discussions about moral policing?” Is it because the criminals were members of a minority group? Bommai continued, “Mr. @siddaramaiah, please explain your point.
