Hollywood Actor Christian Oliver and 2 Daughters Die In Plane Crash
Along with pilot Robert Sachs and his children Madita, 10, and Annik, 12, Christian Oliver, 51, was a Hollywood actor.
Hollywood star Christian Oliver, who was born in Germany, and his two young daughters perished after their little plane crashed into the Caribbean Sea just seconds after takeoff, according to local police.
Oliver, who starred alongside George Clooney in the 2008 action-comedy “Speed Racer” and on the big screen in “The Good German,” passed away on Thursday on board a privately owned one-engine aircraft, according to a statement from the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force.
Four dead were found after the coast guard, divers, and fishermen arrived at the area right away.
Oliver, 51, passed away together with pilot Robert Sachs and his daughters Madita, 10, and Annik, 12.
It was just after lunchtime on Thursday as the aircraft took off from Bequia, a small island in the Grenadines, towards St Lucia.
Oliver shared a picture of a tropical beach on Instagram a few days ago with the message, “Greetings from somewhere in paradise! “, giving the impression that the family was on vacation. We are coming to 2024 [here], to a community and love.”
Oliver, real name Christian Klepser, has appeared in more than 60 films and television shows, with a small role in the Tom Cruise film “Valkyrie.”
A few early roles included the TV show “Saved by the Bell: The New Class” and the motion picture “The Baby-Sitters Club.”
Oliver was a popular cop show star in his own country of Germany for two seasons, “Alarm fur Cobra 11.”
